How to Get to Attic Backpackers

🚌 By SkyDrive Express Bus (approx. 35–40 minutes)

1. At Auckland Airport: go to Bus Stop A at the Domestic Terminal (between Doors 3-4) or Bus Stop E at the International Terminal (outside the Transport Hub).
2. Board the SkyDrive bus to SkyCity Auckland / Auckland CBD.
3. Alight at the stop near SkyCity (Hobson Street side) in the city centre.
4. From there, walk to 31 Wellesley Street West — about a 10-minute walk up and along Wellesley Street West.

🚆 🚌 By Train or Rail Bus (approx. 1 hour 20 minutes)

1. From the airport, take the AirportLink Bus to Puhinui Station (approx. 10 minutes).
2. From Puhinui Station, take either the Southern Line or Eastern Line train toward Waitematā (Britomart) railway station (approx. 35 minutes).
3. If trains are unavailable (e.g., off days or maintenance), a Rail Bus Replacement Service will follow the same route to Britomart.
4. At Waitematā (Britomart) Station, walk up Queen Street for about 10 minutes, then turn left onto Wellesley Street West.
5. Attic Backpackers will be at 31 Wellesley Street West.

🚗 By Car or Taxi (approx. 25–35 minutes, 20 km)

1. Exit the airport and follow signs to State Highway 20 (SH20) heading north.
2. Merge onto SH20A and continue until it joins SH20.
3. Take the exit toward State Highway 16 / Auckland City.
4. Follow SH16 into the city and take the exit for Nelson Street.
5. Continue on Nelson Street, then turn right onto Wellesley Street West.
6. Attic Backpackers is at 31 Wellesley Street West.

🚶‍♂️ From University of Auckland (approx. 10–15 minutes on foot)

1. Start: Alfred Street (General Library of UoA).
2. Head northwest on Alfred St toward Princes St — 83 m.
3. Turn left onto Princes St — 190 m.
4. Turn right onto Wellesley St E and continue straight (it becomes Wellesley St West) — 450 m.
5. Arrive: Attic Backpackers, 31 Wellesley Street West.
